Even before the Beatnik Riots of 1961, New York City's Greenwich Village was the epicenter of revolutionary movements in American music and culture. Since pioneering the indie rock scene in Hoboken, NJ as frontman of The Bongos and helping to launch the chamber pop movement with his solo debut “Cool Blue Halo”, Barone has produced numerous studio recordings and worked with artists in every musical genre. His list of collaborators has included producer Tony Visconti, Donovan, Lou Reed, and folk legend Pete Seeger. He has scored shows and staged all-star concert events at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and Summer Stage in Central Park. His memoir Frontman: Surviving The Rock Star Myth was published in 2007. His album Sorrows & Promises and his latest book, Music + Revolution (2022), are celebrations of the 1960s music scene in Greenwich Village NYC, where Barone lives. The album had a higher chart placing than any of the Youngblood albums and stayed on the charts longer than any other album he currently created. Robert Laroche | Singer -Songwriter -Guitarist

THE ARWEN LEWIS SHOW - Today Arwen welcomes Robert LaRoche Robert began performing professionally at age 15. Originally from Holyoke, Massachusetts, LaRoche formed Power Pop sensations The Sighs in 1982. After 10 years of touring the college club circuit of New England, the Sighs were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut CD “What Goes On” in 1992. The disc received fantastic reviews and the single “Think About Soul” was a staple on “Modern Rock” radio charts throughout the Summer of 1992. The band toured America extensively with such acts as The Spin Doctors and The Gin Blossoms. The band disbanded in 1996 and LaRoche moved on to his next career as lead guitarist and co-writer for Austin, Texas singer Patricia Vonne. Miss Vonne has released seven critically acclaimed CDs on the independent label Bandolera Records and has toured Europe numerous times where they have built a loyal and ever-growing fan base. LaRoche and Vonne also performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in 2013, where they were awarded the critic's pick for “Best Live Performance” LaRoche’s song craft is based firmly on American roots music. Influenced by Buddy Holly, Del Shannon, and the aforementioned Everly Brothers, each track on LaRoche’s “Patient Man” is filled with endlessly memorable hooks, bathed in a warm and honest production. The Sighs regrouped in the Summer Of 2016 to record for the first time in two decades. The subsequent release Wait On Another Day came out on NYC indie label Omad Records In November 2017. The disc received glowing reviews internationally. In July 2019, Austin singer-songwriter LaRoche released “A Thousand Shades”. This six-song EP is bursting with irresistible hooks and LaRoche’s signature harmonies and mesmerizing vocals. Backed by many of Austin’s top Musicians, “A Thousand Shades” takes the listener on a journey of love and heartbreak, with a silver lining of redemption. In September 2023, LaRoche will release his new 10-song CD “Forevermore” Produced by Oscar-winning songwriter John DeNicola. THE ARWEN LEWIS SHOW - There was a planet, very, very, very, very far away, from what Earthling beings refer to as “Earth.” It was a ruthless fire-breathing planet, that the beings of Earth referred to as “Mars.” It reflected incredible beams of red and orange light, but never had an Earthling heard, an audio recording of what the sounds of Mars, were. On planet Earth, there was a United States government agency called NASA… The National Aeronautics and Space Administration was responsible for science and technology related to air and space. NASA was determined to retrieve the sounds of planet Mars, and bring them to their unusual planet. Coincidently, also residing on planet Earth, was a being, named Jason Achilles, who was also intrigued by this idea. Following an early 2022 US tour as keyboardist for Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, JASON ACHILLES now divides his time as a touring multi-instrumentalist/music producer, orchestral composer, and “side gig” as an aerospace entrepreneur. Currently, he is developing a live touring planetarium show that will inspire the public through an unlikely personal journey from music to Space.
In 2017 Jason leveraged his audio expertise into technical consulting, joining forces with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, ultimately helping bring to Earth, on a day unbeknownst to planet Mars, the first sounds of the planet as recorded by the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover.
Concurrently he served as Principal Investigator for a 2020 NASA Flight Opportunities grant to successfully flight test his Lunar ExoCam remote rocket viewing camera tech developed with Honeybee Robotics. 
When not on the road performing live with his experimental ‘cosmic space-rock duo, he can be frequently spotted with his nerd friends attempting to capture high-fidelity audio from the numerous rocket launches at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Southern California (and not have their microphones incinerated).
